What this journey is about.
The Aberdare forests, the Kinangop Plateau grasslands, and the slopes of Mount Kenya hold wildlife and landscapes that most Nairobi-based safari companies undervalue. Bongo, elephant, buffalo, and colobus in the forest. Highland grassland species, Jackson's Widowbird, Sharpe's Longclaw, on the plateau. A landscape entirely different from the classic savanna picture of Kenyan safari.
This region is one of our specialties. We run it as a standalone trip or as an extension to a Big Five circuit for guests who want to see the country beyond the postcard parks.
